I feel like if you cleaned it up some and fixed the horrible looking cover where the vent windows would be on a ‘67 it might be okayish? I honestly don’t know here.
BONUS: Imagine paying $7500 for an 88hp 4 cylinder automatic Mustang. That’s nice-but-slightly-rough-around-the-edges-5.0 money.
Double bonus! Want a clone of a GT500? It’s got everything a Shelby had! Except for, you know, the drivetrain which is the entire reason to get a GT500.
I didn’t realize searching for Mustangs on Craigslist was this funny.

That’s... wow... I don ’t even know.

It’s like a poor man’s Equus Bass. I really don’t mind it much.

At first I thought it was like a Dynacorn body just on an s-197 chassis. But then I saw the doors, and the hood, and I don’t know what the hell it is.

I think I’d really like it if the execution was a tad better but as it is it looks sloppy.

Sure. But if it was built in some person’s garage, I can forgive the lack of polish. After all, it’s probably much better than I would do.
And good heavens, $7,500 for a base model fox body? My first car was a fox body, and cost way, way less. Hell, they want half of what Ford charged for that car brand new.

I mean, nice foxes are hard to find any more, I’ll give them that. But it’s still a 4cyl auto. And not a turbo 4 so it’s totally gutless.
I don’t know, it’s not the lack of polish that concerns me. It’s that I feel like the work was poorly done. I have a nasty feeling it was gallons of bondo and what not.

Of course. You won’t see me lining up to purchase either of those cars.

2007 Mustang, 17k miles, never seen snow or rain.
what a waste

I wonder why they kept the 07 hood? Usually on the conversions they just put on the whole front clip. But it see,s like they only used the 68 fenders and molded the rest too the, creating this “slightly used bar of soap” looking front end.

Definately gallons on those fenders where they meet the grille. Itd be a good car for 2k

7500 for a convertible fox body?
Not even if it had a v8. Those things flex so much, I’ve seen the trunk open up on one going over railroad tracks.
I believe all the convertibles were done by a third party not Ford.

Trying to picture what the first car would look like with even a cheap Earl of Scheib paint job, I think it would look perfectly fine from maybe 5 feet. I just really question the structural integrity and workmanship, and I'm sure the panels have all sorts of waves in them up close, along with gap issues.

This post made me sound like my wife. No, no, no, no, no, I said no, stop it, no.

Vintage mirrors and side windows, even if fixed in place, would make this at least presentable.

You look at it and you know it’s a Mustang but boy does it look off to me. I think it needs a chrome grill.

That is definitely the biggest visual issue. The front clip is goofy too because of the hood.

If I remember right, Ford built them but the tops were done by a third par ty
